This magnificent necklace portrays the story of the Yemenite Jews who made it. Starting from the mid 1700s, they would exchange Arabian coffee for Maria Theresa Thaler coins from the Austrian Empire. With a high silver content, they were often mixed and melted down for material to make jewellery. However, this piece is somewhat unique, as it is displayed as the centrepiece of the necklace. This matches well with the silver and agate beads along the chain, creating a stylish and sophisticated product.
