This Jambiya is a great collectable item. Curved daggers like these were most commonly presented in Yemeni ceremonies as a symbol of honour and manhood, but it may also been worn by nomadic tribes, in order to provide protection against any potential danger. These practical uses add a layer of authenticity to this piece, which already displays so much in the beauty in its design, most notably the silver engravings on the wooden sheath.
