Moroccan Koumiya

This eye-catching Koumiya, or dagger, was expertly made by North African Artisans. Many scholars believe that these weapons are most likely a variant of the Yemeni Jambiya, since they both are double-edged and contain a curved scabbard. Therefore, it is the intricate embroidery along the metalwork that makes this piece stand out among its counterparts. It would have most likely been worn by the hip, clearly visible to any potential threats.
