This set of three decorative beads was crafted by jewish silversmiths in Yemen. They contain an abundance of seed-like motifs either side of the central divider, creating the so-called 'wheat' design. Another feature to note is numerous dotted lines that run across the silver sheeting, made using the intricate technique of filagree. In its original context, these globe beads were primarily used to adorn larger necklaces, and may have been part of a dowry gift, creating a product that exudes in both sophistication and sentimental value.
