This Saddle Bag clearly played an important role within a nomadic family. As the name suggests, they were primarily use on horseback to aid the transportation of things like food, tools and small items of clothing. This one was made with wool from the tribe's local herd of sheep, something that can be clearly seen on the hanging bangles. Other features to note are the curly hooks and stepped star motifs, which provide a decorative edge to a piece that manages to showcase beauty in its rawest form.
