Although these are primarily rendered in a red and ivory palette, the large horizontal and vertical bands help to divide the design into six orderly sections - giving the rug a more balanced composition. This leaves only the fringes of fiery orange tassels, providing an explosive finish to this all-round fascinating Kilim.
