This Ottoman is a great example of a refined modern production. Its wooden structure is raised on a set of fluted antique legs, a popular style in neoclassical furniture that imitates the shape of ancient Greek columns. Meanwhile, the upholstered kilim has an oscilating triple-medallion design, that incorporates natural shades of yellow, red and forest green into its composition. Despite the obvious differences, the craftsman cleverly manages to merge timeless forms with a contemporary colour pallete.
