This ornate embroidery is a great example of decorative art. It contains a large variety of natural imagery, from the individual leaves on the borders, to the plants and flowers that have sprouted in-between. Despite appearing to have a relatively simple design, the hours that went into making this piece cannot be underestimated. This is because each image was created using tiny metallic threads, that were carefully stitched into the silk foundation. Therefore, this delicate product would work best as a wall hanging or table cloth.
