This Runner has a distinct festive-feel to it. Traditional imagery like latched-hook diamonds and crosses are displayed in between a tower of rhythmic green and red squares. The artisan cleverly incorporates these colours onto the border motifs, helping them to visually complement the design of the field whilst popping against the light cream ground. There is lots of chunky pile and notable signs of wear and primitive repairs but this doesn't compromise the rug's joyous character.
