This antique Tribal Afshar rug is an example of late 19th-century tribal weaving. Hand-knotted with a "night blue" field decorated with a rhythmic, all-over pattern of geometric rosettes and charming "storytelling" bird motifs. The piece exhibits a totally worn patina and authentic abrash color variations, offering a soulful, historical texture.
