Baluch Sofreh Rug

This distinctive flatweave kilim appears to be quite different to its Baluch counterparts. Its actually a traditional nomadic eating surface used for communal meals. The burnt orange sun rays are a key feature, sectioned off into six sections to give the rug a sense of symmetry. The border is unusually large, perhaps to draw attention to the array of white and red flower heads. It is these creative deviations that makes this rug stand out
