This Persian Hamadan rug is distinguished by its rare and captivating design. Its main border, coated in a deep cerulean blue, frames a series of hand-drawn leaves and flower heads with vivid clarity. In the centre, the light olive field softens the composition, allowing the floral clusters and jagged leaves to take focus. The eye is then naturally led to the pair of stylised crosses, defined with striking red and jet blue outlines in order to mark their importance.
