This antique Caucasian Kuba Sumak is a tribal flatweave featuring three prominent, navy-outlined octagonal medallions aligned vertically down a central field packed with smaller geometric symbols and stars. Handwoven with supplementary weft-wrapping. It exhibits an authentic, heavily distressed patina, with multiple patches, repairs, extensive surface wear and erosion across the field that exposes the light foundation and highlights its rustic, antique character.
