This 19th century Karachov Kazak is a collectors favourite. The red madder is the perfect backdrop for the rhythmic leaf and calyx border which includes aubergine, that glides between the jagged guardlines. Tribal 'stamps' and latched-hook motifs are carefully placed across the field, to make sure it balances around the anchor of the ivory medallion. This imagery springs to life through the abrash variations in the green & blue a desirable feature in Karachov art that makes it flow with natural vibrancy. These features work in harmony to make this a highly-collectable rug that is perfect for those looking for a standout piece.
