The creator of the Kilim had a great sense of spacial awareness. The wavy curls of the monsters foot motif along the border are clearly rendered and have generous spacing between them. This is also true for the central area - it would be easy to feel overcrowded with the variations of diamond medallions and polygons, and yet it maintains a smart look. Overall, the size and design of this Kilim gives it a versatility to fit in multiple spaces.
