This Afghan Kilim has a beautiful aged appearance. Red is the dominant colour along the 'running dog' pattern along the outer edge, as well as in the spiral motifs that adorn the inner border. It is here where the columns of stepped star motifs begin to capture the gaze, with deep hues of forest green and striking yellows. This unusual combination of colours creates a fluidity between classic design choices and contemporary styles.
